Yogesh

Yogesh — also known locally as Yogi's and trading as Yoge'Sh — is one of the older-established Indian takeaways in east Dundee, sitting on Balunie Drive within the Douglas housing scheme. The shop has carried a 1989 founding date on its branding for years and operates as a cafe-restaurant alongside the takeaway counter, with a small sit-down room above the kitchen. The menu is broader than the standard Indian curry house pattern — alongside the usual range of bhuna, korma, masala, dansak and biryani the kitchen runs a full kebab section and the kind of crossover Indo-Pak items that have moved into the east-Dundee takeaway trade through the Stobswell and Albert Street cluster. Trade is largely local, drawn from the Balunie, Linlathen and Mid Craigie housing, with the daytime cafe trade supplementing the evening takeaway work. The Balunie Drive position puts it on the bus route out from the centre and within a short walk of the Pitkerro Road shopping parade.
