Mughli Charcoal Pit on Wilmslow Road in Rusholme is one of Manchester's most celebrated Indian restaurants, open since 1991 and named by the Telegraph, BBC Good Food Guide and Shortlist Magazine as one of Manchester's best restaurants. Buzzfeed listed it as the No.1 curry house to visit before you die. The menu of Indian street food centres on the angithi charcoal pit and tandoor, with tapas-style sharing dishes, slow-cooked curries, biryanis and regional specialities from Mughal India. Vegan, gluten-free and children's menus are available. Still family-run by the sons of founder Mohammad Arshad.
