About Fai Wong
Fai Wong is the Chinese takeaway on the small Gunners Way parade in the Laceby Acres pocket on the western edge of Grimsby, working from a single-counter shop unit on a row that also carries a chippy-kebab-pizza hybrid in the unit a few doors along. It is one of the long-standing local Chinese kitchens on this side of the town, and pulls a regular collection trade from the surrounding modern housing estate.
The board runs the standard Anglo-Cantonese template — chow mein, satay, sweet and sour, salt and chilli, curry, crispy aromatic duck and a long set-meal section — and the kitchen leans more towards consistency and turnaround speed than towards a long specials board. Reviews on TripAdvisor and Yell place it in the middle of the Grimsby Chinese-takeaway spread, with the most-cited positive being quick phone-and-collect service and the most-cited negative being the standard high-volume-takeaway dip on the busiest weekend evenings.
Opening is evening-only and the shop trades through to roughly 11pm. Delivery covers the Laceby Acres estate and the streets running back along Laceby Road; collection draws walk-in trade from the parade itself and from the surrounding cul-de-sacs.
