Bangalore Tandoori

Bangalore Tandoori has been on Home Street since 1984, making it one of the longest-running Indian restaurants in the Tollcross area. The kitchen leans toward south Indian cooking alongside the familiar north Indian classics — prawn jalfrezi, tandoori butter chicken — and serves a neighbourhood crowd that has kept coming back across four decades. Home Street is the main dining and pub strip running east from the Tollcross junction, close to the Cameo Cinema and within easy walking distance of the Usher Hall and Lyceum Theatre on Lothian Road. The restaurant is unlicensed but accepts BYOB, which has remained popular with local regulars. Opening hours are midday to 3pm and 5pm to 11pm daily.
