Dastaan is one of Surrey's most decorated independent Indian restaurants, holding a Michelin Bib Gourmand alongside two AA Rosettes awarded in 2017 — a remarkable combination for a neighbourhood spot on Kingston Road in the Ewell stretch of Epsom. The restaurant was founded in 2016 by chefs Nand Kishor Semwal and Sanjay Gour, whose previous kitchens included Trishna in Marylebone (Michelin-starred under Semwal's tenure) and the Mayfair restaurant Gymkhana.
