The Cinnamon Tree

The Cinnamon Tree moved to Woodbridge Road from its original Tunsgate home in 2011 and quickly re-established itself as one of Guildford's more respected Indian restaurants. TripAdvisor regulars over the years placed it firmly in the upper tier of Guildford curry houses, praising the kitchen's consistent quality across a full north Indian and Bangladeshi menu: chicken tikka masala, lamb biryani, balti dishes and a generous vegetarian section all featured. Woodbridge Road runs west from the town centre toward the Stoughton residential area, close to the University of Surrey's Stag Hill campus, giving the restaurant access to a mixed clientele of students, local families and town-centre workers. Closure status has been uncertain amid the North Street regeneration works affecting parts of the Woodbridge Road corridor; checking current trading status before visiting is advisable.
