Top Table has been a fixture on Guildford's High Street since 1992, operating as a privately owned daytime café and outside caterer with a strong emphasis on fresh, hand-prepared food. The house speciality is rare roast beef carved in-house, alongside fresh salmon dressed with a house dill sauce — both available as sandwiches or platter elements for catering orders. Corporate lunch deliveries, wedding hampers and party catering are a significant part of the business, while the walk-in trade benefits from the same quality ingredients as the event orders. A daytime-only operation closed on Saturdays. Situated on one of England's most photographed sloping high streets, within sight of the Guildhall's projecting clock, Top Table is well-positioned for the morning commuter crowd, town-centre office workers and tourists taking a break from visiting the nearby Guildhall or Guildford Castle.
