About Brother Marcus
Brother Marcus is a celebrated East Mediterranean all-day restaurant on Camden Passage in Islington, named after one of the founders' younger brothers and inspired by their travels through Greece, Turkey, Lebanon and the broader Eastern Mediterranean. Luxury London describes "a rustic-chic Islington outpost" offering "mezze and mains in a relaxed setting." The Islington branch is the original site of what has grown into a successful London group with branches also in Balham, Bermondsey and King's Cross. Open from 8am daily, it serves Islington's Camden Passage antiques quarter from breakfast through to late evening, with weekend brunch a particular draw.
The menu centres on fresh, vibrant sharing mezze and mains inspired by the Levant and Eastern Mediterranean: pan-fried halloumi with orange and thyme-infused honey, crispy aubergine skewer with shatta herb sauce, betel leaf rolls, grilled pork ribeye with grape beurre blanc. Weekend brunch is popular and features all-day options alongside specials. For dessert: baklava sandwich, pistachio ice cream and honey cream. A well-stocked wine list leans toward natural wines from the Eastern Mediterranean. Cocktails throughout the day. Website: brothermarcus.co.uk.
