About Jamon Jamon
Jamon Jamon is a Spanish tapas bar and restaurant on Upper Street in Islington, a short walk from Angel tube station. Time Out describes it as "a Spanish restaurant and tapas bar on Upper Street, Islington." Quandoo calls it a place that "invites you to enjoy a night of tapas unlike you've ever had before," in a "chic yet comfortable interior... a lovely place to spend an evening with friends or that special someone." Part of a small London group also in Camden, Belsize Park and Soho. The name means "ham and ham" in Spanish -- a fitting choice for a restaurant that takes the great cured meats of Spain very seriously.
The menu covers all the great Spanish tapas: patatas bravas, Jamon Iberico and Serrano boards, grilled sardines with olive oil and parsley, serrano ham croquettes, grilled Iberico pork loin with tomato bread, and a selection of paellas -- including the vegetarian huertana, a seafood paella and the celebrated negra made with black squid ink and shrimp. A full all-Spanish wine list with tempranillo, tinta fina and verdejo, plus expertly mixed Caipirinha cocktails and traditional sangria. Open daily.
