Mirch Masala in Streatham SW16 is a branch of the legendary South London Pakistani restaurant whose Tooting branch is Mayor Sadiq Khan's stated favourite restaurant in London. Mirch masala means chilli spice blend — the restaurant names itself for the heat and complexity at the centre of Pakistani cooking. Famous for karahi gosht, mixed grill, onion bhajis and the BYOB policy that keeps the bill affordable. The photo of Imran Khan's visit has pride of place at the Tooting original. Halal throughout.
